Sun plants that can take full sun (all day);
generally requiring more than 60% of the day in full sun - Page 2

FIGARO Dahlias: Grow to 15 inches in the garden. Beautiful double flowers in many colors. Can be grown as individual plants or in beds.

Diascia (Trailing Red): These wonderfully improved versions of old-fashioned Twinspurs also have tremendous heat tolerance. ‘Trailing Red’s’ deep red flowers are a great addition to this vibrantly-hued series.

Dianthus: Nice carnation flowers on dwarf plant. Many people report that the flowers are even better the second and third year. Pictured is parfait.

Dusty Miller: Grows well on part sun to part shade. It will grow 6 to 10 inches tall with silver white leaves. Excellent for contrast in the garden and for borders. Very low maintenance and will tolerate a frost.

Euphorbia - Diamond Frost : Plant in sun or partial shade. Height 8-12", Spacing 10-12 inches apart. Hardy to 30 degrees. Use alone or in combinations. Heat and drought tolerant plants have a cloud of airy white flowers all season. This plant has won more awards than is possible to list here. It was a truly outstanding plant at the Penn State Landisville trials.

Geraniums: At one time the king of container plants. They are still seen in urns, pots and window boxes in just about any sunny area. Seed geraniums grow about 12 inch high and have many flowers.

Ipomoea-Sweet Potato Vine: The only surprising thing about the sudden popularity of Sweet Potato Vines is why it took so long to happen. Our choice varieties show the versatility and color impact that's made them the latest must-have. A vigorous grower with a trailing habit and dark red/purple leaves , shown on the right, are shaped like a bird's foot print. Very heat tolerant. Sweet Potato Vine Marguerite, shown on the right, can be grown in full sun

Ipomoea-Sweet Potato Vine 'Tricolor': The only surprising thing about the sudden popularity of Sweet Potato Vines is why it took so long to happen. Our choice varieties show the versatility and color impact that's made them the latest must-have. Fan-shaped leave with gray/green, white, and pink variegation.

Ivy Geraniums: We grow these beauties in a variety of colors. They do very well in hanging baskets and window boxes as well as large containers. Grow in sun to part sun. In hanging baskets they do not do well in the hot afternoon sun of July and August.

Licorice Plant: A very vigorous, self branching plant with penny size silver leaves. This is a great item to add to a combination planter for unusual contrast and texture.
